Functional Biomaterials

Coatings of medical devices consist of a matrix, sometines in   combination with a pharmaceutical component. These coatings can be   permanent or degradable.

The NMI-TT can analyse coating stability,   integrity, degradation as well as drug release according to   established standards.

Sample preparation follows DIN-EN 10993-12,   analysis of degradation of polymers 10993-13, analysis of degradation of   metals and alloys 10993-15, and analysis of leachables/extractables   follows 10993-17.

We apply validated electrochemical methods and analytical methods like HPLC-MS or FTIR.
