DigiWest® for tumor classification

We are excited to share the published study we worked on in collaboration with Charité Berlin, and supported by a ProFIT grant by IBB Berlin. We are grateful to Prof. Dr. Frederick Klauschen, Dr. Denise Treue, Teresa Bockmayr and their team for a frutiful collaboration, whose results got recently published in the journal Laboratory Investigation.
In the paper, we introduce the value of DigiWest for the classification of tumors. In contrary to histomorphology and IHC, which can often reach their limits in determining the organ origin in metastasis, DigiWest allowed for the high-accuracy classification of the tissue of origin for all five tumor types studied. The results make DigiWest an attractive approach for routine clinical applications.
